JOB TITLE: Kindergarten Teacher
​
JOB Duties:
• Develop and maintain a classroom atmosphere centered on intellectual inquiry and student engagement, foster classroom community through inclusionary, compassionate, and supportive practices;
• Establish a strong classroom diversity culture for learning that is positive, inclusive, restorative, and contributes to the school community;
• Collaborate with other teachers and administrators in the development, evaluation, and revision of preschool language programs;
• Teach fundamental skills, including color, shape, number, and letter recognition, personal hygiene, and social skills;
• Create lesson plans for subjects such as reading, science, and math. Establish and enforce behavior rules, as well as maintain order through policies and procedures;
• Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health, considering their abilities, strengths, and weaknesses;
• Provide a variety of materials and resources for learning and imaginative play, set clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to children;
• Plan and conduct activities for a balanced instructional program that encourages observation, questioning, and investigation, along with organizing activities promoting physical, mental, and social development;
• Gain thorough understanding towards learning and other aspects of each student, keep record of students; progress and maintain active dialogues with parents about student learning.​

JOB REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Teaching, or a related field and 12 months’
experience as a kindergarten teacher or teacher required. Must have skills in using Google Classroom,
Microsoft Teams, Flipgrid, Kahoot!, Quizlet, Smartboard, Chromebook.
Job and interview: Oakland, CA. 40 hours/week. $58,120.00/year. If offered, must have legal right to
work in U.S.
